Quebec is still absent from the national picture of the opioid crisis. Data from the rest of Canada shows that the crisis is worsening. More than 4,000 people may have died in 2017 following an opioid overdose, if the trend continues, this year’s assessment will exceed that of 2016, revised upward to 2861 deaths, says a new report from the Public Health Agency of Canada released Monday.
