When Health Canada approved the first COVID-19 vaccine, there were some questions on Sharon Davis-Murdoch’s mind.

“How (is) the COVID vaccine is going to be accepted by communities of people of African ancestry living in Nova Scotia? What kinds of ways will messages be being made to be relevant to our history and lived reality?” said Davis-Murdoch, co-president of the Health Association of African Canadians (HAAC).
