WORKSHOP: UNDERSTANDING AND EXPERIMENTING WITH THE AWARENESS TOOL: STIGMA IN INTERVENTION

21 June 2022 @ 13 h 00 min - 15 h 00 min

Speaker: Isabelle Boisvert, Research and Community Liaison Assistant, CRISM-ICRAS – Quebec Node

Every day, people who use substances are victims of stigmatisation. Are we aware of this? How do we react to these situations?

The Association des intervenants en dépendance du Québec (AIDQ) and the CRISM Québec node offer you a virtual workshop on stigmatisation among people who use substances. Participate in the launch of the new awareness tool: Stigma in intervention: becoming aware of it!

Participants will also be asked to reflect on the real issue of stigma experienced by people who use substances in the healthcare system. At the end of the kick-off workshop :

  • You will gain a better understanding of what stigma is and what it feels like for people who experience it.
  •  You will discover a new tool for awareness, reflection and reference.
  • You will have experienced concrete situations.
  • You will be able to reinvest these learnings in your practice and within your organisation.
